The Character
Full Name: Ross Eustace Geller
Age: 40
Date Of Birth: October 18th 1970
Race: Human
Powers: None
Personality:
Generally considered the most intelligent and mature of the friends, he is also seen as a nerd, and has exaggerated events to make his life seem more exciting than it actually is. Ross's nerdy personality combined with being somewhat stylish in an unorthodox manner has gotten him into awkward and embarrassing situations. Stated by Joey as Ross's thing, Ross's ability to not know when to shut up proves to be liable for himself as well as his friends. Ross also had a rage problem which became so severe that he was fired from his job at the museum after he became enraged when someone ate his Thanksgiving leftover sandwich(YOU THREW MY SANDWICH AWAY?! MY SANDWICH?!). There are frequent running jokes about Ross' masculinity. This issue was most prominent in "The One with the Male Nanny". Rachel hired a sensitive male nanny named Sandy, who made his own lotion, played the recorder and baked madeleines (which were "lighter than air," according to Ross). Ross is very uncomfortable with such a sensitive man being around and eventually fires Sandy, but not before breaking down in front of him and hysterically revealing his own insecurities stemming from issues with his father.

Married/Dating/Single: Married
Straight/gay/Lesbian/ Bisexual: Straight
History:
Born on October 18th, Ross is the older brother of Monica Geller, and was the favored child of their parents. Ross was described as a "medical marvel" when he was born, because his mother was originally believed to be infertile. (There may have been some discrepancies when the writers came up with the story, as in another episode Jack Geller mentioned that they got married after Judy got pregnant, though a miscarriage could have been possible.) The two siblings are extremely competitive, as demonstrated in "The One with the Football" where it emerged that every Thanksgiving during their childhood they had taken part in an football match called "The Geller Cup."[1] This family tradition ended in its sixth year, after Monica broke Ross's nose. In their childhood, Monica and Ross were also very violent with each other. For example, Monica once hit Ross with a giant pumpkin and Ross once jammed a stick through the spokes of Monica's bike, causing her to flip over and hit her head on the curb. They also seem to have had a more ordinary sibling rivalry. For example, in one episode Monica tells Phoebe that they weren't always close and Ross used to give her Wedgies, Flying Wedgies, and Atomic Wedgies. Also, in "The One with the Inappropriate Sister," they told Rachel that they used to wrestle when they were younger. Ross, Monica, and Jack are all Jewish, as revealed in the episode "The One With The Holiday Armadillo."
While in college, Ross met Chandler Bing, with whom he formed the band "Way...No Way", and Carol Willick, who became his first wife of seven years. Ross trained for a career in paleontology, completed his Ph.D., and later became employed at the New York Museum of Prehistoric History. Ross takes pride in his intelligence, but is probably not as intelligent as he thinks/would like to be; he tells people he got a 1450 in his SATs when he actaully got 1250. In the episode in which Rachel moved out of Monica's apartment, Ross claimed to have "given up a career in basketball" to become a paleontologist. He thinks that he would have been good at advertising and in "The One with the Mugging", Ross claimed that he invented the phrase "Got Milk?". He also claimed to have had the ideas for Jurassic Park and Die Hard stolen from him. Ross's love of dinosaurs became a running joke throughout the series. In one episode, when asked which he preferred, sex or dinosaurs; Ross had a tough time deciding which he would rather give up.
When Ross became enraged when the director of the museum ate half of his favorite sandwich and threw the rest in the trash, Ross was forced to take a "sabbatical." His anger was exacerbated by the stress of his second divorce and his discovery that Chandler was dating his sister Monica. He lost his apartment and had to move in with Chandler and Joey. Afterwards, Ross found a job as a professor at New York University and caused a stir among his colleagues when he dated one of his students. Eventually, he was given tenure, despite forgetting classes, boring his students to sleep, and giving away grades without even looking at students' work.
Despite being firm friends with her, Ross often came into conflict with Phoebe Buffay. His rationality and Phoebe's self-devised beliefs led to conflict over the theories of evolution, gravity, and whether or not Phoebe's dead mother was reincarnated as a cat. It was revealed in "The One with the Mugging" that Phoebe once mugged Ross during her homeless years. The evening Ross found out that Carol was a lesbian, he and Phoebe almost had sex in the club that was to become Central Perk, but they were interrupted by their friends. Ross has described Chandler Bing as his best friend and sometimes has changed opinions to his oldest friend. He is shown to have had some old memories such as a band with Chandler called "Way, No Way" and also once blamed him when he was almost caught smoking pot. Their base of friendship was, however, their unmanageable hair, which both have been shown to have in the series' flashbacks. Ross was arguably less close with Joey Tribbiani than either of them were to Chandler, though he did lend a helping hand to him with some movie and stage auditions, with both of them kissing once for Joey to play the part of a homosexual. They also briefly tried to cut Chandler out of their friendship group after he ignored them both in "The One with the Ring."
In response to his loneliness after his divorce from Carol, Ross adopted a Capuchin monkey named Marcel. The relationship was troublesome at first, but the two grew quite close, until Marcel's sexual drive forced Ross to donate him to the San Diego Zoo. An underlying joke was how comparable their relationship was to that of a live-in couple. Ross later felt the urge to see Marcel again, and found out that Marcel had become a famous mascot for a brand of beer called "Monkey Shine" and was starring in Outbreak 2: The Virus Takes Manhattan. Marcel's favorite song was "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Later in the series, Ross admitted how unusual his purchase was, saying in "The One With Unagi", "Remember when I had a monkey... what was I thinking?"
In seasons 1-4, Ross lived in the same apartment. In season 5, he moved into the apartment owned by a relative of his second wife, Emily, but was kicked out after their divorce. He spent a short time living with Chandler and Joey before settling into an apartment across the street from Monica's place, which had been formerly inhabited by Ugly Naked Guy. This brought all of the friends, with the exception of Phoebe, into very close proximity with each other.

like always nissa is found sitting in a corner of the hallway. her notebook open laying against her knees. her jeans with large holes and white shirt with a pink and gray skull spread on it, made her emotions very open. she had a mechanical pencil in one hand and was tapping a beat with her left hand. every few seconds' nissa would scribble something down, and some of it would be erased. if you got close enough you could hear a slight whisper of a voice. nissa was singing her song out. "finding myself with you, finding myself alone, wondering how i ever got by, without you here, so long...no that's not right!"
nissa erased the so long part and bit the end of her eraser. writing songs' was pretty natural for nissa, but sometimes she couldn't picture the words' correctly. nissa closed her eyes' and begin palying a beat in her head. listening to every simple tone, trying to find the perfect lyric to write down. she opened her eyes' and began writing again. she finished the verse and the silent whisper of song began again. "finding myself with you, finding myself alone, wondering how i ever got by, without you here, with me, starin into the rain, making little but no sound, my minds a mess, with you gone...i gotta find you now, i gotta let him go, i gotta beg you to come back, back to me, back to me, cause you're all i want, all i want, cause you're all i need, all i need... perfect!"
nissa's face sprung happy, she smiled. she bit her bottom lip as she doodled on the other side of her notebook. she closed the cover and rubbed the fronting. nissa's backpack laid beside her. it was black, with a large gray skull, pink hearts' surrounded it, and a little pink bow on the skull. she opene dher side panel and slide the pencil in. she opened the notebook and began to sing the lyrics' once again. they sounded good to her. her voice got a little louder each time. kids' began to stare, but she didn't care. she messed with her hair for a few seconds' then continued singing it. "finding myself with you, finding myself alone, wondering how i ever got by, without you here, with me, starin into the rain, making little but no sound, my minds a mess, with you gone...i gotta find you now, i gotta let him go, i gotta beg you to come back, back to me, back to me, cause you're all i want, all i want, cause you're all i need, all i need..." nissa smiled again.
